N.B. UPDATED ROUTE and START LOCATION – JUNE 2<\/strong><\/p>\n

I changed the starting location from Shallow Lake to Park Head<\/strong> after riding the rail trail from Shallow Lake to Park Head.\u00a0 It’s been recently groomed and is very rough. It wouldn’t be fun to ride (twice).<\/p>\n

Park Head Start –<\/strong> A 32 km (256 m of climbing) loop.\u00a0 Meet in Park Head at the community centre on Park Head Rd.\u00a0 We’ll start with a 4 km there and back segment along seldom used rail trail that meets Silver Lake Rd.\u00a0 Returning to Park Head we’ll cross Bruce Rd 10 onto concession 5 Keppel and connect to a clockwise loop of rolling tar and chip and gravel roads.\u00a0 Return to Park Head by the same concession.<\/p>\n

Park Head is a great starting point for gravel riding south towards Allenford.\u00a0 We’ll<\/em> be riding on well surfaced, rolling and quiet roads.\u00a0 Consider planning your own adventure and challenging yourself on Allenford Rd, the north section of Side Road 5 (which we will be avoiding), Crooked Hill Rd and Blind Line.\u00a0 These other roads can have challenging surfaces and climbs but all are exceedingly quiet and beautiful.<\/p>\n
