This is a sanctioned Owen Sound Cycling Club ride.<\/p>\n
Overview: A self-guided 160 km 2 day clockwise loop.\u00a0 See www.cyclesimcoe.ca\/simcoe-county-loop-trail\/ for updated route maps.\u00a0 The Strava version is below.\u00a0 A gravel bike, mountain bike or road bike with > 30 mm tires is recommended. \u00a0Cyclists travel at their own pace but with at least one buddy<\/em>.\u00a0<\/strong> No one will cycle on their own.<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0 Otherwise, no formal groups or ride leaders will be provided.<\/p>\n Parking:\u00a0 Carpool parking lot on Hwy 26 just immediately west of Bayfield St. on the north side of Hwy 26. Parking here is free but unsupervised.<\/p>\n Start location and time: Saturday June 12 @ 10 am Simcoe County museum, 1151 Hwy 26, Minesing, ON.\u00a0 This start location is just west of the parking lot on Hwy 26.<\/p>\n Accommodations: Hampton Inn by Hilton, 877 King St., Midland, ON. (705-540-9425).\u00a0 A block of 10 rooms @ $280 plus taxes per room has been secured.\u00a0 If more than two occupants per room there is a $10 additional charge per occupant.\u00a0 Check-in is after 3 pm Saturday June 12.<\/p>\n Rooms are to be booked directly with the Hampton Inn<\/strong> quoting the Owen Sound Cycling Club group<\/strong>.\u00a0 There are 5 rooms each with a single King bed and 5 rooms each with two Queen beds.\u00a0 Participants wishing to share a room are to make those arrangements on their own. The rooms will be released by April 12, 2027.\u00a0 Cancellations received before May 12, 2027 will be refunded.<\/p>\n Bicycles will be secured in a locked meeting room.\u00a0 Breakfast is included.
