SUMMARY:Gravel Ride - Sarawak Beach Park Start
DESCRIPTION:39 km (176 m of climbing) counterclockwise loop starting from the Sarawak Beach parking lot. \nThe route north will follow the shore primarily on asphalt\, duck through Cobble Beach on trails\, continue along the shore to Presquile\, climb to the Kemble Women’s Institute Lookout\, and pass through Kemble on the Kemble Bypass. \nThe route back is primarily on gravel roads.  N.B. There is a short (100 m) steep walk up the Bruce trail to gain access to the Gordon Sutherland Parkway.  A ride-able detour to avoid this short hike uphill is available (i.e. East Linton  SR\, right on Grey Rd 1\, right on Indian Acres \, left on the Gordon Sutherland Parkway) – please chat with with me before the start if you choose the detour. \nWe’ll return to Sarawak Beach via the rail trail\, Range Rd\, Grey Rd 17A\, and a very short segment of Grey Rd 1. \nBrian O’Doherty \nCANCELLED  Sign up here

DESCRIPTION:Join us for a fun evening of cycling\, great food\, and good company at our Pot Luck Social Ride hosted by the Smiths on Thursday\, July 16! \n📍 Location: 585 4th Street A West\, Owen Sound \n🚴 Ride Departure: 6:15 p.m. \n🕠 Arrival: Feel free to arrive as early as 5:30 p.m. get settled before the ride \nWe’ll enjoy a relaxed 27 km social ride\, heading north through town before making our way to Girl Guide Road for an out-and-back section. From there\, we’ll loop back via Alph Street and through the high school parking lot to avoid the main road.   Note: The C Group is welcome to shorten the out-and-back section if they’d prefer a shorter ride or would like to return a little earlier. \nAfter the ride\, we’ll gather back at the Smiths’ for a pot luck dinner and some well-deserved social time. Spouses and family members (children) are warmly welcome to join in on the  festivities\, and are welcome to arrive at the start of the ride and stay to mingle\, relax and swim while the group is out for the ride. \nReminder….If you’d like to cool off after your ride\, bring your swimsuit and a towel and enjoy a refreshing dip in the pool! \nPlease bring: \n\nA dish or snack to share for the pot luck\nLawn chair\nSwimsuit and towel if you’d like to use the pool\n\nWe hope you’ll join us for an evening of great riding\, delicious food\, and wonderful company. Please see the updated route posted below. \nJoin us for a fun evening of cycling\, great food\, and good company at our Pot Luck Social Ride hosted by the Smiths on Thursday\, July 16! \n📍 Location: 585 4th Street A West\, Owen Sound \n🚴 Ride Departure: 6:15 p.m. \n🕠 Arrival: Feel free to arrive as early as 5:30 p.m. get settled before the ride \nWe’ll enjoy a relaxed 27 km social ride\, heading north through town before making our way to Girl Guide Road for an out-and-back section. From there\, we’ll loop back via Alph Street and through the high school parking lot to avoid the main road.   Note: The C Group is welcome to shorten the out-and-back section if they’d prefer a shorter ride or would like to return a little earlier. \nAfter the ride\, we’ll gather back at the Smiths’ for a pot luck dinner and some well-deserved social time. Spouses and family members (children) are warmly welcome to join in on the  festivities\, and are welcome to arrive at the start of the ride and stay to mingle\, relax and swim while the group is out for the ride. \nReminder….If you’d like to cool off after your ride\, bring your swimsuit and a towel and enjoy a refreshing dip in the pool! \nPlease bring: \n\nA dish or snack to share for the pot luck\nLawn chair\nSwimsuit and towel if you’d like to use the pool\n\nWe hope you’ll join us for an evening of great riding\, delicious food\, and wonderful company.
