SUMMARY:Gravel Ride - Bayshore arena to Walters Falls
DESCRIPTION:N.B. Start time will be 9 am (rather than the usual 6 pm) on this July 1 holiday Wednesday. \nJuly 1 6:30 AM – the route is now shorter to accomodate for the high heeat and increased humidity. \nJune 26 – I rejiged this route to keep us on good roads.  Recent grading on sideroads will be avoided. \nA 53 km (594 m of climbing) route starting from the Bayshore arena parking lot.  We’ll follow the east side rail trail to Sunny Valley Road. A hilly loop brings us back to Sunny Valley road and the rail trail. \nWe’ll aim for two groups of riders but I’ll also ask that riders “buddy up” with another rider.  The groups may break up so I’ll ask everyone to download the route on their phones/devices and be prepared to navigate yourselves\, if needed. These hills are challenging and breaks after climbs are encouraged but I’ll ask that no single rider be left to ride alone. \nBrian O’Doherty \nSign up here

SUMMARY:Gravel Ride - UPDATED on June 2 - Park Head start
DESCRIPTION:N.B. UPDATED ROUTE and START LOCATION – JUNE 2 \nI changed the starting location from Shallow Lake to Park Head after riding the rail trail from Shallow Lake to Park Head.  It’s been recently groomed and is very rough. It wouldn’t be fun to ride (twice). \nPark Head Start – A 32 km (256 m of climbing) loop.  Meet in Park Head at the community centre on Park Head Rd.  We’ll start with a 4 km there and back segment along seldom used rail trail that meets Silver Lake Rd.  Returning to Park Head we’ll cross Bruce Rd 10 onto concession 5 Keppel and connect to a clockwise loop of rolling tar and chip and gravel roads.  Return to Park Head by the same concession. \nPark Head is a great starting point for gravel riding south towards Allenford.  We’ll be riding on well surfaced\, rolling and quiet roads.  Consider planning your own adventure and challenging yourself on Allenford Rd\, the north section of Side Road 5 (which we will be avoiding)\, Crooked Hill Rd and Blind Line.  These other roads can have challenging surfaces and climbs but all are exceedingly quiet and beautiful. \nBrian O’Doherty \nSign up here \n\n

SUMMARY:Kelso-Keady Sunday "Try-It Ride" Loop
DESCRIPTION:This loop starts and ends at Kelso Park near the Splash Pad\, heading north through Owen Sound before bending west toward Kilsyth and the Squire–Cruickshank corridor. From there it continues south toward Keady\, where riders have the option to add a 10 km square through the village. Skipping this extension keeps the route closer to 43 km. After the Keady section\, the route turns east\, passing Springmount and re‑entering Owen Sound for a direct return to Kelso Park.
