Played summer 2024. Very doable. Starts with chorale and ends with famous finale.
Announcer Notes:
Our next piece is from 1812 Overture, originally written for orchestra by Russian composer, Tchaikovsky, the music celebrates Russia’s successful defeat of Napolean’s invasion in 1812. Famous for including cannons, and chimes, this is one of Tchaikovsky’s most popular pieces. You will be relieved to know that we have no cannons hear this evening. Our arrangement was written for concert band by Andrew Balant and does not include the whole piece – just the chorale and finale. Kind of like the greatest hits of 1812. We hope you enjoy it.
