The TT results are now on-line.
Thanks to Kari for timing.
The weekly emails announcing the Tuesday rides are now only going out to those who specified interest in the Women’s Rides.
If you are not receiving them and wish to, enter your email address in the Subscribe form on the top right of any club web site page. Assuming you are already subscribed, a link like this will appear:-
firstname.lastname@example.org is already subscribed to list Owen Sound Cycling Club. Click here to update your profile.
Click the link and follow the instructions
If you are receiving them and don’t wish to, use the update subscription preferences link which is in the footer of every club email. Un-check “Women’s Rides” under the list of interests.
Note: Although there is a similar interest for Time Trials, we are not currently using that. TT results go out to every one who is subscribed. The weekly emails announcing the Wednesday rides are also not affected.
I have added logic to check for a seasonal best time on the TT results page.
First I check if the race time is the fastest ever (or equal fastest), and that the rider has more than one result on that course. Then I display “PB.”
Then, if not a PB, I check if the race time is the fastest in the calendar year when the race was run (or equal fastest) , and that the rider has more than one result in that time. This assumes our season is a calendar year. Then I display “SB.”
Of course a PB trumps an SB so I will never display both.
I’ve also laid the ground work for age divisions, but for that to work I need to enter everyone’s DoB. Over the years we have collected results for 366 riders (and teams). So I might only enter DoB for this year’s members (and future years as new members are entered) . I’ll probably have an “Open” division for those who don’t have a DoB on file.

There is an expectation of heavy Monday traffic now that the Summer Tourist Season has started and many families have events already planned for the weekend.
See you on the 9th.
The ride for tonight, 2018-06-27 is canceled. The forecast is still calling for heavy rain, possible thunderstorms, and gusty winds.
I just heard that Conc. 8, the road that runs north/south through Mooresburg, is being paved after all. Work started today.
Originally the township had said the road would revert to gravel. They wanted drivers to use county road 3 instead. But they were pressured by residents to pave the road again.
This opens up quite a few bike route possibilities for us.
The web page referred to in the recent email, with details of the changes, is here.
