If you have registered for the 2018 season and your name is not listed on the Members List (Points Earned) please let me know at webmaster@owensoundcycling.ca.
It’s possible I missed an email from CCNBikes.
We are switching to a new and better mailing program.
All who were members last year and those on Joanne’s women’s list have been subscribed to the new list.
We have linked CCNBikes to the new service. As members register on CCNBikes, they are automatically subscribed. Some of you already have, and it is retroactive.
We want to take the opportunity to house clean, but don’t want to lose anyone. To ensure we didn’t miss you or to adjust your preferences please enter your email address in the Subscribe form on this site. If you are already subscribed to the new list, you will receive a link where you can adjust your preferences. Otherwise, of course, you will be subscribed. You can also sign up from our Facebook page.
We have set up a group for Joanne’s women’s rides and placed all female members on it. (If a couple shares the same email address and both are members, that email address will be on the list.)
We are also experimenting with a group for Time Trial results and might send weekly results only to that group. That would allow those of you not interested to opt out.
New OSCC Kit
OSCC has a new logo and a new jersey/bib/short design (or kit). If you are interested in purchasing any of these, head down to Runner’s Den in Owen Sound where you can try on sample sizes before you buy. The sample kits will be at Runner’s Den until August 25, so you better get down there before they are gone. Once you find the size that fits, put your name on the list at the Den and indicate whether you want a jersey, shorts or bibs. Also indicate the sizes and gender you wish to purchase. Depending on numbers purchased, the price of jerseys will be around $50 to $60 while bibs will come in between $70 and $80. As soon as we know how many to order we can let you know the price.
New members, or returning members with a new email address can subscribe to our email list using the link that is at the top, right of every web site page.
We have a confirmed date for our Annual General Meeting and Pot Luck. We are going to have a road ride and a mountain bike ride before.
The paper work is completed and now all you have to do to get your OSCC and OCA memberships up and running is to go to the club home page and click the “Register Now” button. This will take you to the CNNbikes web page where you can follow the simple instructions to register your OSCC (and required OCA) memberships. This year’s rates are $10 for the OSCC and $40 for the OCA portion of your membership, for a total of $50. Most of us who do not require an OCA racing licence will register for the “affiliate club “membership. The whole process takes less than 5 minutes.
The club has submitted paperwork to the Ontario Cycling Assoc. and is awaiting their approval so that we can begin renewing our memberships through CCN bikes. We will post notification here when that process is complete, likely in a few weeks time.
