Gravel ride – Tara to Chesley with post ride Breakfast

I am pumped about this ride!

With Joanne Barber’s encouragement to ride from Tara and Mark Walker’s reconnaissance help, we’ve put together a truly fantastic ride!  Thank you Joanne and Mark.

The roads are nearly perfect – generally smooth, free of recent grading work, and exceedingly quiet.

This is a 52 km mostly flat route with occasional rolling hills (371 m of climbing).  The route runs south towards Chesley on SR 25 and returns north to Tara on a parallel SR 20. A truly beautiful rural setting with big open sky (and yes, probably some wind) and a few woodlot sheltered sections.

Meet in front of Country Cousin’s Diner (43 Yonge St N, Tara) and after the ride we can pop in for coffee, snack or a second breakfast.  There’s a small municipal parking lot across the street just south of the diner.

Gravel nirvana awaits those who attend 🙂
