Gravel Ride – Bayshore arena to Walters Falls

N.B. Start time will be 9 am (rather than the usual 6 pm) on this July 1 holiday Wednesday.

July 1 6:30 AM – the route is now shorter to accomodate for the high heeat and increased humidity.

June 26 – I rejiged this route to keep us on good roads.  Recent grading on sideroads will be avoided.

A 53 km (594 m of climbing) route starting from the Bayshore arena parking lot.  We’ll follow the east side rail trail to Sunny Valley Road. A hilly loop brings us back to Sunny Valley road and the rail trail.

We’ll aim for two groups of riders but I’ll also ask that riders “buddy up” with another rider.  The groups may break up so I’ll ask everyone to download the route on their phones/devices and be prepared to navigate yourselves, if needed. These hills are challenging and breaks after climbs are encouraged but I’ll ask that no single rider be left to ride alone.
